Theme: “Let’s be generous”
Text: Luke 12:32-34
32. Do not be afraid, little flock; for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33. Sell what you have, and give it in alms. Make for yourselves purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where the thief does not approach, and where the moth does not destroy. 34. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Let's remember:
In verse 22 Jesus then said to his disciples, “Therefore I say to you, Do not worry about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.” He also teaches us in these words: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough trouble of its ". Let's get rid of all the clutter that saturates our lives and prevents us from moving toward the kingdom of God. Our Father has seen fit to give us the kingdom of heaven. It is the expression of a generous Father who gives without expecting anything. Also, he helps us to take possession of this kingdom; he invites us to go there. He wants every child to be able to enter this kingdom. This is why he tells us to position our hearts where there is the greatest treasure called the kingdom of heaven. But to get there, we must sell what we have and give alms. We must make purses for ourselves that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where the thief does not approach, and where the moth does not destroy. This is the effort that the Lord God asks us to make. It is our part of generosity to offer by getting rid of the weights or burdens that hold us to the world. Have a great Wednesday. Amen
