Theme: "Joseph's youth and his faithfulness to God."

Text: Genesis 37:5-8.

5. Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers, who hated him even more. 6. He said to them: Listen now to this dream that I had! 7. We were binding sheaves in the middle of the field; and behold, my sheaf arose and stood upright, and your sheaves surrounded it and bowed down to it. 8. His brothers said to him: Will you reign over us? will you govern us? And they hated him even more, because of his dreams and because of his words.

Let us remember:

A dream is a combination, often incoherent, of images that appear in the mind during sleep. It is also a view of the mind, chimeras, illusions, vain imaginations. But in the spiritual, the dream is one of the languages of God. It is a language very used by God to speak to his people. The images of dreams are sometimes disordered. It takes a certain specific spiritual capacity coupled with a pronounced discernment to place them in a coherent order. The Spirit of God often intervenes to enlighten our spirit in the understanding and interpretation of dreams, even when it is in disorder. There are dreams that say things that will happen. If we evoke them in a public place, it can be subject to jealousy, hatred, stress, fear, joy, doubt, prison or even death. Youth is a time when we lack lucidity and clairvoyance when it comes to interpreting dreams. This could be the source of misfortunes if the audience is not receptive. We must know how to shut our mouths when necessary, otherwise we will say things that will harm us. We must also speak to announce in advance the hidden things revealed by God in the near or distant future. Even when he was young, God spoke to Joseph through dreams. Let us not minimize children's dreams. We must often ask children what dreams they have. Let us not be jealous when dreams are not favorable to us. Repeated dreams can hide imminent events. Let us not ignore them. If God often speaks to us through dreams, let us improve our sleeping conditions in order to be optimal in receiving dreams. Excellent Wednesday. Amen.
