Theme: “Jesus is welcomed as King“
Text: Psalms 110:1:7
1. From David. Psalm. The word of the Lord to my Lord: Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool. 2. The Lord will stretch out the scepter of your power from Zion: Dominate in the midst of your enemies! 3. Your people are full of ardor when you muster your army; With sacred ornaments, from the bosom of the dawn Your youth comes to you like dew. 4. The LORD hath sworn, and he will not repent: Thou art a priest forever, after the manner of Melchizedek. 5. The Lord, at your right hand, Break kings in the day of his wrath. 6. He exercises justice among the nations: everything is full of corpses; He's breaking heads all over the country. 7. He drinks from the torrent while walking: That is why he raises his head.
Let's remember:
After Jesus passed through this world, our Lord returned to his divine abode, crowned with glory and splendour. Magnificence recovered him and he regained his former beauty; so much sin had degraded him here below. On earth, he had been welcomed as King, as he returned to Jerusalem to fulfill his ultimate mission. In this psalm, he joins his Father in the heavenly city; there too he is welcomed as King. Moreover, the prophet David describes all the stages of his journey in great detail. The prophet, in a way, follows with his eyes Jesus who ascends to heaven, on this day of the Mount of Olives and of Bethany (Luke 24:50; Acts 1:9-11); he sees him seated above at the right hand of God. In this contemplation, it is to Jesus as Adonai (Lord) that he speaks to tell him what God has prepared for him — the rod of power, a people of free will, and the highest dignities for him. -even. Then addressing himself to the Eternal, he tells him how Jesus (Adonai) will take possession of the kingdom which is thus prepared for him. The angels, the 4 living beings, the 24 elders and all the personnel who sit around God welcomed Jesus as King, there in the presence of God. Excellent end of March and good start to the weekend.
