6. He raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Let's remember:

Much of Jesus' intercessory work is already done. It is up to us to appropriate it by perfect obedience to God. Indeed, Jesus succeeded in presenting us to the Father as a justified race. From now on, our bearing is coated with another colorimetry which incites the gracious gaze of God. Before Jesus' help at the cross and at the right hand of God, the world was under condemnation. We once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit which works in the sons of rebellion. We once lived according to the lusts of our flesh, doing the wills of the flesh and our thoughts, and we were by nature children of wrath. We were dead in our trespasses, pagans in the flesh, called uncircumcised; we were without Christ, disenfranchised in paradise, strangers to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God. Seated at the right hand of God, Christ completes the saving work he had begun on the cross. He presents us day after day before the Father so that we remain workers with Him; for us to obtain the favor of God; for us to retain redeemed status. We have been brought near to God by the blood of Christ; for he is our peace, he who broke down the wall of separation, enmity, having done away with the law of the ordinances in its prescriptions through his flesh, establishing peace.
