Theme : " In the arms of the Father "
Text : Isaiah 51: 9-16
9. Wake up, wake up! put on strength, arm of the Lord! Awake, as in the days of old, In the old ages! Is it not you who cut down Egypt, who pierced the monster? 10. Didn't you dry up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made in the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass through? 11. So the redeemed of Jehovah shall return; they shall go to Zion with songs of triumph, and everlasting joy shall crown their heads; Joy and joy will draw near, Pain and groans will flee. 12. It is I, it is I who consoles you. Who are you to be afraid of mortal man, and of the grass-like Son of man? 13. And thou shalt forget the LORD, who made thee, who stretched out the heavens, and founded the earth. And you would tremble incessantly all day Before the wrath of the oppressor, Because he seeks to destroy! Where then is the anger of the oppressor? 14. Soon he who is bowed under irons will be delivered; He will not die in the pit, nor will he fail his bread. 15. I am the Lord your God, who lifts up the sea and causes its waves to roar. The Lord of hosts is his name. 16. I put my words in your mouth, and cover you with the shadow of my hand, to expand new heavens, and to found a new earth, and to say to Zion, you are my people.
Let us remember :
It is in the arms of the Father that we find salvation, deliverance. The arms of the Lord strengthen our faith and weaken the enthusiasm of our enemies. Security is guaranteed in the arms of God. When God activates his arms, a whole people can be delivered from Pharaoh's grip. By his mighty hand and his outstretched arm, God divides the sea in two and makes a passage for his redeemed children to cross dry. Between the arms of the Father, we see with our eyes how the triumph is granted to us without a fight; God takes care of our daily struggles. In the arms of the Father there is ineffable joy because there is no pain and no moaning. And if, by the extraordinary, a disappointment could occur, it is He our Father who would bring the real consolation. So, why fear the enemy who is mortal? Even if evil surprises us like a giant wave, God covers us with the shadow of his hand. Excellent Thursday of confidence. Amen Alain Louz.-
