Theme : “ I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh ”
Text : Romans 8:26-27
26. In the same way also the Spirit helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what it is proper to ask for in our prayers. But the Spirit himself intercedes with inexpressible groans; 27. And he who searches hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because it is according to God that he intercedes for the saints.
Let's remember:
The Holy Spirit notices our shortcomings and provides without waiting for a request. While we grope to seek the face of God, intertwining strengths and weaknesses; the Holy Spirit sees us. Likewise, when we pray, we sometimes misalign our sentences; but the Spirit of God translates them to God the Father in proper order. As we sleep soundly, the Spirit intercedes for us, according to the mind of God. It is also the Spirit who moves us to fear God and lead a life of prayer. Being the best teacher, the Holy Spirit instructs us, corrects us, educates us, convinces us… The Spirit comes to the aid of our ignorance by bringing knowledge back into our lives. It is thus that Peter, recognized as a man of weak education, saw himself perked up by the Holy Spirit to the point of astonishing his country; he surpassed the doctors of the law in revelations; through the power of the Holy Spirit. Let the Spirit that God has poured out on us work without saddening Him with sin. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
