Theme : “ I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh ”
Text : Luke 24:46-49
46. And he said unto them, Thus it is written that Christ should suffer, and that he should rise from the dead on the third day, 47. and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning by Jerusalem. 48. You are witnesses to these things. 49. And behold, I will send upon you what my Father has promised; but you remain in the city until you are endued with power from on high.
Let's remember:
A spiritual cleansing of sins is necessary to beautify the space that receives the Holy Spirit. A body which has the privilege of harboring the Holy Spirit of God, must be cleansed, purified, sanctified, purified from top to bottom. The Spirit of God cannot cohabit with sin. Where there is sin, the Holy Spirit shrivels up, he is saddened and can no longer flourish. This is why Jesus Christ only sent his Spirit after having washed away the sin of the world by means of his blood. God would have poured out his Spirit on all flesh at the birth of Jesus; but that would reverse the trend. We are entitled to ask ourselves; why does the Holy Spirit no longer work within us as he once did? Certainly he no longer feels at ease; perhaps there have been harmful intrusions into our lives; perhaps his place is now occupied by incredulity, disobedience, blasphemy debasing his holiness. When we agree to take on the Holy Spirit; we must exclude falsehood and the use of falsehood in our market. It starts in Jerusalem, at home; everyone must purify themselves. The Holy Spirit is an undefiled power. Excellent month of June. Amen Alain Louz.-
