Theme : " I believe in God the Father Almighty "
Text : John 20: 26-29
26. Eight days later, Jesus' disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came with the doors closed, stood in the midst of them, and said, Peace be with you! 27. Then he said to Thomas, Put out your finger here, and see my hands; hold out your hand also, and put it in my side; and don't be unbelieving, but believe. 28. Thomas answered him: My Lord and my God! Jesus said to him: 29. Because you saw me, you believed. Happy are those who have not seen, and who have believed!
Let us remember :
Christians' confession of faith should always begin with "I believe in God the Father Almighty." This being a confession of faith, it should not suffer any challenge in our minds. Everyone must be able to make this admission in any case even when there is no physical proof. Do not wait to see before believing as Thomas did. We know that faith is a firm assurance of the things we hope for, and a demonstration of the things we do not see. Thus our confession of faith must remind us of all the work accomplished by God the Father by means of his Son and of his Spirit. Let us not doubt a single detail or a word from God. Our belief should never stray from scriptural wonders; let us therefore remain linked to God and to his Word. Excellent Sunday, no doubt. Amen Alain Louz.-
