Theme : " How long will you be steeping on both sides? " Text : Luke 16: 13-15
13. No servant can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other; or he will cling to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. 14. The Pharisees, who were stingy, also listened to all this, and they laughed at him. 15. Jesus said to them, You seek to appear righteous in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is exalted among men is an abomination before God.
Let us remember :
Our hearts feed thoughts that uplift Mamon, the god of financial greed. And yet the Lord God provides for our financial needs but we lean towards the lure of easy gain. Money has even become a deity that we cherish in our thoughts and prayers. Our omniscient God knows all of our thoughts from their roots; until the final fallout. God even knows the damage that this greed could do. We make God and mammon coexist in us. Let's not be madly in love with money so as not to end up idolatrous. Let us only be workers with God, let us seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness; the rest will come by itself. Let us no longer mix God and mammon. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
