Theme : " How long will you be steeping on both sides? " Text : Joshua 24: 17-23

17. For the LORD is our God; it was he who brought us and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; it is he who has worked these great wonders before our eyes, and who has guarded us during the whole road which we have followed and among all the peoples in the midst of whom we have passed. 18. He drove out before us all the peoples and the Amorites who dwell in this land. We also will serve the Lord, for he is our God. 19. Joshua said to the people, Ye shall not be strong enough to serve Jehovah, for he is a holy God, he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions and your sins. 20. When you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will return to do you evil, and will consume you after he has done you good. 21. The people said to Joshua, No! for we will serve the Lord. 22. Joshua said to the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen the Lord to serve him. They answered: We are witnesses of it. 23. Take away therefore the foreign gods which are in your midst, and set your heart to the LORD, the God of Israel.

Let us remember :

Choosing to follow the Lord is a good thing. It is an excellent choice which has value in the eyes of the Lord. But, there is a prerequisite that must be highlighted; that of eliminating all the foreign gods that we have served. If this is not done, the people will continue to stick on both sides. The Lord our God hates the mishmash of beliefs. If we choose his side, let's stay there and never leave outside the fold. There are lives that were destroyed because they wanted to associate the Eternal God with other pagan deities. A whole destiny can be fatally shattered due to instability in the exercise of faith. Let us refuse to serve other gods so as not to provoke the wrath of our God. Excellent Wednesday of stability in God. Amen Alain Louz.-
