Theme: “Helping Your Neighbor

Text: 2 Corinthians 9:10-15

10. He who provides seed for the sower, and bread for his food, will provide and multiply your seed for you, and will increase the fruits of your righteousness. 11. You will be enriched in every way for every kind of liberality, which, through us, will cause thanksgiving to God. 12. For the help of this help not only provides for the needs of the saints, but it is also an abundant source of many thanksgivings to God. 13. Considering this help which they experience, they glorify God for your obedience in the profession of the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of your gifts to them and to all; 14. they pray for you, because they love you because of the eminent grace that God has given you. 15. Thanks be to God for his ineffable gift!

Let us remember:

Assisting our neighbor becomes easy when we copy the perfect model that God shows us. Knowing that humans lack the provision to succeed in perpetuating their agriculture, God took the initiative to provide seed to the sower. He does not stop there, he also resolved to give him bread for his food while waiting for his seed to germinate and become mature. This is proof that God wants our nutritional balance. Without stopping, God continues to provide us and multiply the seed, and he increases the fruits of our justice. By being inspired by the way God assists us; we can also assist our neighbor. In this case, let us give seed and bread to our neighbor. Instead of giving him some of the fruits of our harvest, let us instead give him the opportunity to have his own field so that he can make a larger harvest that would make him totally independent and autonomous. This way of doing things will allow him to enrich himself and flourish. Let us be kingmakers; those who bring joy into the lives of others. God will repay us a hundredfold; and even if he does not repay us, our hearts will be joyful for having done an eternal work. When we provide assistance to our neighbor, he will also help other people and gradually, we eradicate poverty. Without asking for it, a person who receives our assistance intercedes for us. He prays that God blesses us, he blesses God for the assistance received. But let us not expect anything from those we help. Excellent Wednesday. Amen
