Theme: “Healing of body and soul"
Text: Psalms 32:1-7
1. From David. Song. Blessed is he to whom transgression is forgiven, to whom sin is forgiven! 2. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes no iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile! 3. As long as I was silent, my bones were wasting away, I was moaning all day; 4. For night and day your hand weighed down on me, My vigor was only dryness, like that of summer. 5. I made known my sin to you, I did not hide my iniquity; I said: I will confess my transgressions to the Lord! And you took away the pain of my sin. 6. So let every pious man pray to you at the proper time! If great waters overflow, they will by no means reach him. 7. You are an asylum for me, you protect me from distress, You surround me with songs of deliverance.
Let's remember:
This psalm exhales the joy of a soul that regains its former life after having gone through divine forgiveness and restoration. It is a soul reviewing its sins long buried in secrecy, believing that the Eternal, the scrutineer could not have seen anything. On the day of awakening of this dejected and confused soul, saturated and tired of doing wrong; she opens herself to God, betraying her own evil. This psalm is the language of a sinner who goes through spiritual resurrection. It is therefore a psalm of great value for the soul of a forgiven sinner who takes the time to review all his troubles in his heart. Let us understand that it is useless to live in sin because it takes us away from God. The soul always ends up regretting the evil committed; why not refuse to commit it? And when sin is committed, let's not take the risk of hiding it from God; you have to go humbly before His face to confess it without hiding anything. Remorse for a hidden sin is doubly destructive. Let us confess and forsake our sins, God will be gracious, He will heal our body and our soul. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
