Theme : “ He Ascended to Heaven Text : Philippians 2:5-11

5. Have in you the feelings that were in Christ Jesus, 6. who, existing in the form of God, did not consider it prey to be snatched up to be equal with God, 7. but emptied himself , by taking the form of a servant, by becoming like men; and having appeared as a mere man, 8. he humbled himself, making himself obedient unto death, even unto death on the cross. 9. Wherefore also God hath exalted him, and gave him the name which is above every name, 10. that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, 11. and let every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Let's remember:

Before being elevated, one must accept to lower oneself. The elevation of Jesus did not begin on the day of his ascension; it was a process whose finality was elevation. He had worked hard to achieve this result. Obedience was central to the success of the mission of Jesus Christ. With all his power, Jesus could rebel against his Father and begin to live a life of independence from him. Human nature could lead him to love the world and the things that are in this world. Rather, he chose to remain obedient to his Father and pledge his loyalty to him. Jesus refused to steal the place of his Father when in Him there is already the Father. It was easy to tell people to forget the Father and rely on Him, Jesus. He didn't enjoy creating a sham business. Lucifer did not have all the power that Jesus had, when that little was enough for him to seek to supplant God. Jesus did not do like the sons of God who were seduced by the beauty of the girls of the time of Noah until they made their wives and generated giants (Genesis 6). Jesus is our model of obedience. Thus, God rewarded him by raising him above any Name. Jesus ascended to heaven. Excellent Tuesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
