Have no fear

Sunday August 29, 2021

Theme : " Have no fear " Text : Joshua 1: 1-9

1. After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses: 2. Moses my servant is dead; now arise, pass over this Jordan, thou and all this people, into the land which I am giving to the children of Israel. 3. Every place which the sole of your foot shall tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. 4. Ye shall have for territory from the wilderness and Lebanon unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea towards the setting sun. 5. No one will stand before you as long as you live. I will be with you, as I was with Moses; I will not forsake you, I will not forsake you. 6. Be strong and be of courage, for it is you who will bring this people into possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7. Only be strong and be of good courage, doing faithfully according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you; do not turn away from it to the right or to the left, in order to be successful in whatever you undertake. 8. Let not this book of the law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, to act faithfully according to all that is written in it; for it is then that you will be successful in your endeavors, it is then that you will be successful. 9. Did I not give you this command: Be strong and be of good cheer? Do not be afraid or afraid, for the Lord your God is with you in all that you do.

Let us remember:

The Lord God has made us ready to carry on the work begun and not completed by our predecessors. The promises of yesteryear will be fulfilled under our rule. God is ready to perform the feats that will make his glory shine. The future is so bright that doubt and fear cloud the faith. And this is where God calls us to order and discipline. Let us be without fear because He is in charge of the whole process. It is He who fulfills the promises; who mark the way, who exercises our hands in battle and our fingers in battle; it is the Lord who makes us triumph. If the Lord is on our side, whom shall we fear? Let us be careful not to stray from his Word so that success will accompany us. Let us shed our fear and move forward with God. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
