Theme: “Have no fear»
Text: Matthew 10:24-31
24. The disciple is not more than the master, nor the servant more than his lord. 25. It is enough for the disciple to be treated as his master, and for the servant as his lord. If they called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call the people of his house that way! 26. Fear them therefore not; for there is nothing hidden that must not be discovered, nor any secret that must not be known. 27. What I say to you in the darkness, speak it in the light of day; and what is whispered in your ear, preach it from the housetops. 28. Do not fear those who kill the body and cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29. Aren't we selling two sparrows for a penny? However, not one falls to the ground without the will of your Father. 30. And even the hairs on your head are all numbered. 31. So fear not: you are worth more than many sparrows.
Let's remember:
Let us take courage and advance on the path of eternal life, without paying attention to the insults, slander, contempt and other false accusations that are coming from everywhere. Jesus has already suffered this martyrdom when He is without stain, without reproach. However, he was called Beelzebub or Prince of the Flies. Despite all these humiliations, Jesus refused to flinch; He continued his journey non-stop. We are not the first to be mistreated because of God's Name; our ancestors suffered the same degrading treatment, without giving up. Morality: Let us have no fear of the wickedness of Man, only God has the last word for our life. The fear of death should not make us retreat because when our flesh would suffer death, our soul would live eternity in God. Even the life of birds is precious in the eyes of God; what about that of Man made in his image? Let's walk with our heads held high! The Eternal God sees the suffering we endure for his work.
