Theme: “Have no fear»
Text: Isaiah 41:8-13
8. But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, Race of Abraham whom I have loved! 9. You, whom I took from the ends of the earth, and whom I called from a distant land, to whom I said: You are my servant, I choose you, and do not reject you! 10. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; Do not cast anxious glances, for I am your God; I strengthen you, I come to your aid, I support you with my triumphant right hand. 11. Behold, they shall be confounded, they shall be put to shame, all who are angry with you; They will be reduced to nothing, they will perish, Those who argue against you. 12. Thou shalt seek them, and find them no more, Those who quarreled with thee; They will be reduced to nothing, reduced to nothing, Those who made war on you. 13. For I am the LORD your God, Who strengthens your right hand, Who says to you, Fear not, I come to help you.
Let's remember:
The comforting expression [Do not be afraid] appears more than 365 times in the Bible. It's proof that every day of life, we don't have to fear anything. Do not be afraid or Be without fear or who shall I be afraid of? or even Don't be afraid… come to reassure us. Day or night, nothing should frighten a child of God; for his crook and his stick are our token of help. There is no point in looking around worriedly, because our God strengthens us. If there is a danger, He comes to our rescue, He supports us with his triumphant right. It is not possible for the Eternal God to fail; rely on Him. God covers our enemies with shame and confusion. Those who quarrel with us will be reduced to nothing, they will perish. Just trust in God; to sanctify oneself always, to allow oneself to be guided by Him, to love God and our neighbour. Even when everything looks dark; even when our tomorrows are not reassuring, even when the irreparable is before us: let us be without fear, God is our help. Excellent fearless Thursday.
