Theme: “Growth in faith“
Text: 2 Peter 3:17-18
17. You therefore, beloved, who are warned, be on your guard, lest, led away by the error of the ungodly, you come to fall from your steadfastness. 18. But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory, now and for eternity! Amen!
Remember:
We are warned by the Holy Scriptures but also by the signs that God sends us. God speaks to us in a dream or he places a thought directly in our hearts to warn us about the misdeeds of certain misconduct. Likewise, if we have bad company, God sends us warnings to get rid of it, knowing that bad company corrupts good morals. Yes, all bad company is an obstacle to growth in faith. Let us avoid associating ourselves with all those who break into houses, and who captivate weak-minded people in order to pervert them after having loaded them with sins. Do not associate with those who are agitated by carnal passions of any kind. Let us not conform to the present century, but rather be transformed by the renewal of the intelligence, in order to better discern what is the will of God, what is good, pleasant and perfect. The choice of healthy activities, healthy hobbies, friends and comrades of good moral probity are the guarantee of growth in faith. The opposite choice can lead to a decline in the faith. Nevertheless, we must support those who are weak in the faith in order to bring about their growth. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
