Theme: “God with us»
Text: Luke 2:29-32
29. Now, Lord, you let your servant Go in peace, according to your word. 30. For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31. Salvation which you have prepared before all the peoples, 32. Light to give light to the nations, And glory to Israel your people.
Remember:
Every day the eyes of our faith see salvation. A salvation always available to anyone who wants to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour. However, to contemplate this salvation, one must be Simeon, a just and pious old man, versed in the Holy Scriptures, a fine observer of the cycle of spiritual life. Simeon knew that God was with them because he watched the course of high-reaching events taking place in the world. He knew that in the city of David, a God was born there to enlighten the world. Many of his generation had their eyes opened but did not see the unfolding of these events due to ignorance and hardened hearts. Yes, God is indeed among us, however we fail to serve him and obey him. God is among us, but we close our minds to his grace. God is among us to enlighten us as we continue to wallow in the darkness of this world. Simeon had a sharp spiritual eye and was quick to observe the arrival of salvation. Let's live in the light of Christ, and let no one put out his lamp. Merry Christmas & Happy Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
