Theme: “God with us»
Text: Philippians 4:4-8
4. Always rejoice in the Lord; I repeat, rejoice. 5. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6. Do not worry about anything; but in everything make your needs known to God by prayers and supplications, with thanksgiving. 7. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8. For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever merits approval, whatever is virtuous and worthy of praise, be the object of your thoughts.
Remember:
God with us. God in us. God for us. It is a subject of perpetual joy. Just knowing that God is always with us, fear and despair leave and give way to the assurance of salvation. This is why those who have received Jesus Christ rejoice at all times because their joy is ineffable. God with us is an opportunity to experience the fruit of the Spirit as His grace grants it to us. Let us therefore live love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, benignity, fidelity, gentleness, temperance. Since God is with us, worries about the uncertainty of our tomorrow must dissipate. Let us rather give thanks for what God loves us; he takes care of us. Let us leave our hearts and our thoughts at the disposal of God; he will sow there his peace that nothing can move. Thus, let's not let God cohabit in us with the evil and the fruit of the flesh. Desire what is honourable, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, all that merits approval, that which is virtuous and worthy of praise.
