Theme: “God wants honest stewards Text: Luke 12:42-47

42. And the Lord said: Who then is the faithful and prudent steward that the master will appoint over his people, to give them food at the proper time? 43. Happy is that servant, whom his master, when he arrives, will find doing so! 44. Truly I tell you, he will establish it over all his possessions. 45. But if that servant says within himself, My master delays in coming; if he begins to beat the servants and maids, to eat, to drink and to get drunk, 46. the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect it and at the hour that he does not know, he will tear him in pieces, and give him his portion with the unbelievers. 47. The servant who, having known the will of his master, prepared nothing and did not act according to his will, will be beaten with many stripes.

Let's remember:

The mission that God assigns to us is one of the most perilous because it will be evaluated according to the right measure of our work. We had received a road map from God. We were instructed to be servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. We have also been asked to be stewards of the universe by ensuring that we preserve the ecosystem and improve the quality of life on planet Earth. Several other missions are on the table of our hearts, such as that of making disciples of nations. Happy is that servant, whom his master, when he arrives, will find doing all this. The Lord will set him over all his possessions and he will be a pillar in the temple of God. He will be a good and faithful servant; he will enter into the joy of his master. As for the unruly and disobedient servant, the one who begins to beat the servants and the maidservants, to eat, to drink and to get drunk, the Lord God will come by surprise, in the day and at the hour when he is not there. will not wait, he will tear him in pieces, and give him his portion with the infidels. Let's know it and integrate it into our daily lives; God wants honest stewards. Let us take care of our spiritual life and that of our neighbors, starting with our immediate surroundings. Let us watch over each other in order to mobilize a large number of our people for the meeting of eternal life. Let's be on high alert and remain vigilant because the time for our master's return has almost arrived. Let this period of time serve as a balance sheet to see what we have done; and how did we do it. May faithfulness be required and every steward be honest in order to bring joy to our Lord. Have a great Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
