Theme: “God wants honest stewards” Text: 1 Corinthians 4:1-2
1. Therefore let us be regarded as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2. Moreover, what is required of the dispensers is that each one be found faithful.
Let's remember:
A dispenser is a person who dispenses, distributes, distributes something. The mysteries of God are spiritual truths that can only be known by revelation. God reveals his mysteries to those who obey the gospel. The mysteries of God impel us to trust in God, to remain humble, to take up the cross every day, to burn with love for God, to depend on Him, to keep the hope of salvation, to do others disciples in short to love God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our thoughts and throughout our life. This description of the dispenser and the mysteries shows that one must live in sanctification before being a dispenser of the mysteries of God. You must be a steward of integrity, a successful person in your entire spiritual life. It is certain that many of us attribute to ourselves the role of dispenser of the mysteries of God while we do not reflect the image of true Christians. We are not honest but we already want to exercise the role of dispenser of the mysteries of God. Let’s reverse this trend. Let's not put the cart before the horse. What is required of the stewards is that each one be found faithful. Let us distance ourselves from the life of sin which results in the desires of the flesh and the world. Let us distance ourselves from bad compromises and corruption. God wants us to be square, upright, equitable, reliable, honest, impartial, incorruptible, just. We must not be biased. Our balance must be fair. When we are found in integrity, then God and men will be able to regard us as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Have a great Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
