Theme: "God's Purposes for the Welfare of His People" Text: Isaiah 41:8-13
8. But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, Race of Abraham whom I have loved! 9. You, whom I took from the ends of the earth, and whom I called from a distant land, to whom I said: You are my servant, I choose you, and do not reject you! 10. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; Do not cast anxious glances, for I am your God; I strengthen you, I come to your aid, I support you with my triumphant right hand. 11. Behold, they shall be confounded, they shall be put to shame, all who are angry with you; They will be reduced to nothing, they will perish, Those who argue against you. 12. Thou shalt seek them, and find them no more, Those who quarreled with thee; They will be reduced to nothing, reduced to nothing, Those who made war on you. 13. For I am the LORD your God, Who strengthens your right hand, Who says to you, Fear not, I come to help you.
Let's remember:
1 John 4:19. “For us, we love him, because he loved us first”. The love of God for his people is no longer to be demonstrated. It is because he loves his people that he has chosen them; he went to look for him in the distance. God's love for his people is almost an obsession; he seeks us in our error and brings us back to his presence, he purifies us and clothes us in a white garment. He makes us the race of Abraham, the race of servants. The icing on the cake is that God has a wonderful purpose to keep us for Himself; he does not reject us but he preserves us for eternal salvation. God wants his people to be reassured; let him fear nothing and be not terrified. Fear and irritation rest in the bosom of fools (Eccles 7:9) but those who have God fear not for their days; they have the assurance of salvation. God cannot abandon us; on the contrary, he comes to our aid in the day of trouble. His right hand triumphs over our enemies and over sin. He equips us with strength, courage, love, faith and obedience. All these designs of God for his people are our share; let's rejoice and love God more. God comes to strengthen our confidence in Him because He has a wonderful purpose to confound our enemies and put them to shame. He reduces them to nothing, he destroys them by his power. God also intends to see his people in peace, without strife, without war, without strife; like 1 Chronicles 22:9. for Solomon shall be his name, and I will bring upon Israel peace and tranquility during his life.” Seeing these noble purposes of God for his people, let us be strong and fear nothing. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
