Theme: "God's Purposes for the Welfare of His People" Text: Ephesians 1:3-14
3. Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all kinds of spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ! 4. In him God hath chosen us before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him, 5. having predestined us in his love to be his adopted children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will , 6. to the praise of the glory of his grace which he has granted us in his beloved. 7. In him we have redemption through his blood, the remission of sins, according to the riches of his grace, 8. which God has poured out abundantly upon us with every kind of wisdom and understanding, 9. making known to us the mystery of his will, according to the benevolent purpose which he had formed in himself, 10. to carry it out when the times were fulfilled, to gather all things together in Christ, those which are in the heavens and those which are on the earth. 11. In him also we have become heirs, having been predestined according to the resolution of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12. that we may minister to the praise of his glory, we who beforehand have hoped for in Christ. 13. In him you also, having heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, believed in him and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14. which is a pledge of our inheritance , for the redemption of those whom God has purchased, to the praise of his glory.
Let's remember:
God's purposes for the welfare of his people are the result of his love and grace invested in us. Know that God has blessed us with all kinds of spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Let us no longer say that we are cursed but let us be aware of the designs of spiritual blessings of Jesus Christ in us his people. Also, God has the purpose to sanctify us and make us blameless before him. This is what he elected us to do before the foundation of the world. In his purpose, God had predestined us to be his adopted children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will. This acquired legitimacy allows us to move forward with confidence in this perverted world knowing that we are children of God, covered by Him. The other purpose of God for us is redemption through his blood. God designs to grant us the remission of sins, according to the riches of His grace, which God has lavishly poured out upon us by every kind of wisdom and understanding. Through the death of Jesus, God spared us from any kind of condemnation. The other purpose is to make known to us the mystery of his will to unite all things in Christ, those which are in heaven and those which are on earth. The other purpose is to make us heirs, that we may minister to the praise of his glory, we who beforehand hoped in Christ. God's purpose is to seal us with the Holy Spirit which was promised to those who will hear the word of truth, the gospel of salvation, and believe. Let us remain attached to God so that his purposes are accomplished. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
