Theme: "God's Love and Forgiveness."

Text: Ephesians 2:1-5

1. You were dead in trespasses and sins, 2. in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience. 3. Among them were we all, who once lived according to the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the others... 4. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5. even though we were dead in trespasses, has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved);

Let us remember:

From the depths of our disastrous misconduct, God plunges his pure hand into the filth of our errors to extricate us. He takes us from the depths of the abyss where we awaited eternal loss, to bring us back into his presence. He sanctifies us and justifies us. His love is unconditional and incomparable. Life in this world would be a real disaster, had it not been for the love and forgiveness of God manifested in Jesus. Through the sacrifice of Jesus, God spared us from eternal punishment, "For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Every time we sin, we enter into death even if we walk in this world. Every sinner is a living dead who needs to resort to Jesus in order to obtain forgiveness. But God still does not wait for us to go to Him. On the contrary, he abandons the sheep who sanctify themselves to go and seek out sinners because love devours his heart of God. We need the forgiveness and love of Jesus in order to live a holy life and escape eternal death. God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, saw fit to save us from the wrath to come. He does not want us to go into eternal torment. He spares us from the cries and gnashing of teeth that are the lot of those who will go to hell. Excellent Monday. Amen
