God's Blessings to His People

Friday August 25, 2023

Theme: "God's Blessings to His People" Text: 2 Samuel 6:11-15

11. The ark of the LORD stayed three months in the house of Obed Edom of Gath, and the LORD blessed Obed Edom and all his house. 12. They came and said to King David, The LORD has blessed the house of Obed Edom and all that is his for the sake of the ark of God. And David set out, and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed Edom to the city of David, amidst rejoicings. 13. When those who carried the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, they sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf. 14. David danced with all his might before the LORD, and he was girded with a linen ephod. 15. David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouts of joy and with the sound of trumpets.

Let's remember:

Surely God blesses those who are quick to work for Him. The Lord looks and searches the heart that is strong and willing for Him. The faithful who do not hesitate to participate in the blossoming of the work of God are supported by God. He blesses them without further ado. Loving God is an attitude that consists of getting your hands dirty to meet God's expectations. When you need a shelter to park the ark of God, while everyone hesitated, including David the man after the heart of God; Obed Edom saw the riches hidden behind this opportunity. Some blessings are due to the violent, those who fight to unearth the hidden things. Is it not said, "From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been broken down, and the violent are seizing it"? John 11:12. Many blessings are the object of grace, that is, of unmerited favor. But others are the fruit of the efforts, in other words "the reward or the merit". Indeed, nothing should be deserved because even the effort comes from God who creates in us the will and the doing according to his good pleasure. Through this message, God teaches us commitment and dedication; motivation and action. Let us be blessing hunters by getting involved whenever necessary. A good devotee is a great hunter of the treasures that are in God's heart. He unearths them and seizes them while the others reflect and reason. Let us rush to equip the temples, the houses of the servants of God, the orphanages, the hospitals, the homeless, the widows / widowers… Let us finance the evangelization campaigns and all that contributes to the propagation of the gospel. A great blessing is hidden behind this liberality/hospitality. Some have lodged angels thanks to this prompt attitude. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
