Theme: "God provides for our needs."
Text: 2 Corinthians 9: 11-15
11. In this way you will be enriched in every way for every kind of liberality, which, through us, will result in thanksgiving to God. 12. For the help of this service not only provides for the needs of the saints, but it also abounds in many thanksgivings to God. 13. Considering this help which they experience, they glorify God for your obedience in the profession of the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of your gifts to them and to all; 14. They pray for you, because they love you because of the eminent grace with which God has been given you. 15. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
Let us remember:
God provides for our needs so that we are able to make gifts and generosity that will serve to glorify His Name. When the recipients of gifts are joyful and praise God, the Lord is glorified. We are enriched by God because when we are in need, God provides for our needs. In turn, let us provide for the needs of our neighbor by making all kinds of generosity so that they offer thanksgiving to God. Let us feel the happiness of coming to the aid of our neighbor because this assistance provides for his needs. By gratitude, our neighbor will glorify God because we have obeyed the Gospel of Christ, by this gesture of generosity. God provides for our needs so that we provide for those of others. He calls us to generosity since He Himself set the example by the supreme gift of His only Son. This gift has remained the subject of our thanksgiving because it is the proof of the greatest love. The same is true for those who receive our generosity, they give thanks to God for our generosity. In return, the donor will have joy and humility, especially the promptness to give more because God will never cease to provide for his needs. Whoever provides for the needs of the destitute will create a good opportunity to fill them with thanksgiving and praise to God. From there is born a true relationship of mutual love. They pray for the donors, because they love them because of the eminent grace that God has given them. Thanks be to God for the ineffable gift of his Son Jesus. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen.
