God loves us

Theme: “God loves us“ Text: 1 John 4:16-19

16. And we, we have known the love that God has for us, and we have believed in it. God is love; and he who dwells in love dwells in God, and God dwells in him. 17. As he is, such are we also in this world: it is in this that love is perfected in us, so that we may have assurance on the day of judgment. 18. Fear is not in love, but perfect love banishes fear; for fear supposes a chastisement, and he who fears is not perfect in love. 19. For us, we love him, because he first loved us.

Remember:

If we testify that God loves us, then we have an obligation to love Him and to love our neighbour. How can we dwell in God if we don't love him? How can we abide in God if we don't love our neighbour? It is no longer necessary to demonstrate that God loves us since we have the assurance that his love has been consummated by accomplishing all his will through the sacrifice of the cross. He who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. To abide in God is to take his form. As God is our container, so let's take his form. Appropriate its virtues, its attributes, its characteristic traits. God being in us, it is not possible not to be transformed. We must therefore resemble Him because we must produce the fruits worthy of Him. It will give us assurance on the day of judgment. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
