Theme: “God Grows the Church“ Text: Matthew 16:18 18. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
Remember:
To make grow is to make grow, to develop, to intensify, to increase the consistency and content of the Church. It is God who provides for the needs of his Church. He identifies all needs and provides for them. But in God's way of working; he lets the good grass grow alongside the tares. He allows the living stone, although sinful, to coexist with the stone of scandal or stumbling block as he calls himself. Several stones are part of the building but they are for a moment determined by God. Later, the Eternal will sort out in order to carry out a final readjustment of the body of the Church that we are. Every Christian is a stone. We are only links in the Church; this long chain which lives for several ages. No one is irreplaceable in the life and functioning of the Church. The apostle Peter worked hard for the installation of the primitive church. The foundations he laid remain visible to this day. Despite all the work of Peter, despite our efforts in the work of God, let us not forget that it is God himself who builds and makes his Church grow, he solidifies it, he sanctifies it, he repairs the breaches, he renews the stones, he restores his Church and preserves it from the ravening wolves. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
