Theme: “Future Judgments of Christ's Return“ Text: 2 Peter 2:9-10 9. the Lord knows how to deliver the pious from trials, and to reserve the unjust to be punished on the day of judgment, 10. those especially who go after the flesh in a desire for impurity and who despise authority. Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to insult the glories,
Let's remember:
The definition that the Le Robert dictionary gives of the word judgment is the action of judging; it is also the decision in court. Judgment is made by the judge based on the law that governs the proper functioning of the city, and according to the penalties reserved for those who violate it. Likewise, the code of life represented by the Bible is a model of the path that everyone must follow to avoid the misconduct that could lead us straight to judgment. Today's text tells us that the unjust will be punished on the day of judgment. Now, it says in John 3:18. “He that believeth in him shall not be judged; but he who does not believe is already judged, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19. And this judgment is that, the light having come into the world, men preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil». It amounts to saying that if our choices are in accordance with the will of God, we run no risk of passing judgment. But if we trample on the commandments of God, we will pass before the judge who will tell us of our crimes, condemn us and pronounce a heavy sentence on us. Today by the mercy of God, we can still repent and return to the feet of the Master to obey him. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
