Theme : " From the agony to the resurrection of Jesus Christ "
Text : Matthew 28:1-8
1. After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary went to see the sepulchre. 2. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled away the stone, and sat on it. 3. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4. The guards trembled with fear, and became as dead. 5. But the angel answered, and said unto the women, Fear not for you; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. 6. He is not here; he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay, 7. and go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead. And behold, he is going before you into Galilee: there you will see him. Behold, I told you. 8. They departed quickly from the sepulchre, with fear and with great joy, and ran to bring the news to the disciples.
Let's remember:
This is the culmination of the Christian faith. Who would have accepted the divinity of Jesus Christ if God had not resurrected him? Death could not hold him whom the earth could not contain. He had great trouble in Hades because the one who had instituted death had just stolen the key from him. Henceforth death no longer has an impact in the life of a child of God. Dying becomes a glorious crossing that leads to the heavenly city of God in Christ Jesus. The earth, death and Hades were shaken by Jesus, to the point where the shaking was felt as an earthquake. Two days before, everyone had experienced the sudden decline of the sun for 3 hours; and an earthquake that tore the veil of the temple. Jesus the true sun of righteousness should go out for 3 days. Christ is the only one who entered the legend because he brought the time counter back to zero. Everything that existed before him had ceased to run through time because now the world only has landmarks in his work. Life resumed from Jesus. This is why we can say the year 2022 before or after Jesus Christ. Let the world know, Jesus has risen from the dead. Excellent Easter. Amen Alain Louz.-
