Theme: “Fraternity, one of the facets of communion“
Text: Acts 2:42-43
42. They persevered in the teaching of the apostles, in fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43. Fear seized everyone, and many wonders and miracles were done by the apostles.
Let's remember:
The Christian life operates on standards already laid down by the Lord God. When the fraternity is already established in a community, it has the merit of being perpetuated and therefore better maintained. If we don't maintain it, it is its rupture that will be observed and with it, that of all-out communion. In fact, when there is brotherhood, the meetings are not centered on talks, attitudes, and carnal activities. Instead, we gather around biblical teachings and prayer. We share the daily bread without leaving our neighbor hungry and without publishing what we share. The foundation of fraternity is love of neighbour. Well-oiled brotherhood leads to fellowship. If we meet with brothers and sisters without praying, without exhorting each other, without sharing a meal, we must ask ourselves if we are living a true fraternity. This is proof that we have not yet reached the threshold of brotherhood; and therefore no communion is palpable. However, if fraternity is already in place, we must persevere in order to preserve it because it is worth gold. The devil often destroys brotherhood between people if he wants to destroy fellowship. This is why we must persevere in fraternity and communion. If we do, God will perform wonders and miracles. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
