Fraternity, one of the facets of communion

Friday, March 17, 2023

Theme: “Fraternity, one of the facets of communion Text: 1 Corinthians 1:9-11

9. God is faithful, he who called you into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 10. I urge you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to all speak one language, and have no divisions among you, but be perfectly united in one mind and one feeling. 11. For, my brethren, I heard about you from Chloe's people that there are disputes among you.

Let's remember:

The perfect communion which is the model to follow, we find it in God. Such a symbiosis has never existed since the dawn of time because it is uniform, including the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. No defect of form, no malfunction has ever been reported in the divine communion. God being faithful, we must also be so in order to be like him as it is written in 1 John 4: 17a. “As he is, such are we also in this world…”. Let's enjoy being like our God. For a truly successful fraternity, we must all speak the same language. Discord must not be named among us. If the dissonance is not pleasing to human hearing; how much more than that of God? We must harmonize our language, not to have a monotonous sound but to federate towards the union of faith, of the spirit, brotherhood and finally towards communion. Note that division is not one of the faces of communion; on the contrary, it destroys the efforts of peace, of love and relegates communion to the background. However, when divisions surface, let us pray, take the courage to sit down, speak without hypocrisy in order to find the solutions that could prepare the coming of brotherhood and ultimately lead to communion. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
