Fraternity, one of the facets of communion

Thursday March 16, 2023

Theme: “Fraternity, one of the facets of communion Text: 1 John 1:7-10

7. But if we walk in the light, as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus his Son purifies us from all sin. 8. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of them, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Let's remember:

The weakness of the flesh should not justify the daily bad behaviors that betray our faith. There is no point in indulging in sin on the pretext that God himself knows that the flesh is weak. It is obvious that sin surrounds us and that it is not possible to exonerate ourselves from it yes, but we can treat our flesh harshly and hold it subject to the spirit. In this view, we will not program sin because we will be set free, we will have the freedom to flee from sin. And if we can commit a sin, let's go quickly to the Lord Jesus Christ to seek forgiveness and purification from said sin. Let's not take the availability of forgiveness as a permanent flaw in order to remain in sin knowing that the blood of Jesus would always be available. Doing so prevents us from living in communion with God. Communion comes from understanding, fidelity, commitment, perseverance and mutual understanding. Let us remove the wall of separation created by sin and establish communion with God and with our neighbour. Let us walk in the light of God to guarantee this communion with Him and with our neighbour. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
