Theme : "Fighting corruption for sustainable development" Text : Deuteronomy 10:17-18
17. For the LORD your God is the God of gods, the Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and terrible, who has no respect of persons and who receives no gift, 18. the orphan and the widow, who loves the stranger and gives him food and clothing.
Let's remember:
The Eternal God is described here as the prototype state or personage that fights corruption. States or institutions that fight corruption have these characteristics, namely: they are big, strong and terrible, they do not respect persons and do not receive gifts. They do justice to the orphan and the widow, they respect the stranger and give him food and clothing. Their strength lies in the ability to respect their own legislation but also those of others. It is the same with people who fight corruption, they are fair, equitable, do not weaken before the bribe, they are rigorous and intransigent, they are supporters of transparency. It is this stature that we must adopt to be part of sustainable development. This is what a Christian must be who wants to move towards sustainable development (eternal life). Let's reproduce Yahweh's values if we want to move towards a better tomorrow. By adopting such attitudes, we will experience sustainable development since management would be sound, fair justice, well-controlled ecology... Under such conditions, goods and wealth should benefit the whole country rather than a small group of embittered in lack of inspirations. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
