Theme : "Fighting corruption for sustainable development" Text : Psalms 14:1-3

1. A fool says in his heart: There is no God! They corrupted themselves, they committed abominable deeds; There is none who do good. 2. The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there is anyone who understands, Who seeks God. 3. All are astray, all are perverted; There is none who do good, Not even one.

Let's remember :

Romans 3:18. "The fear of God is not before their eyes." From this observation, we understand that the cause of corruption is the lack of fear and obedience to God. Corruption refers to all the means used to make someone act against their duty and against their conscience. It is a matter of morals and ethics. It is one of the characteristic signs of a lack of love not only for God, but also for oneself, for one's neighbor and for society. When we learn to love God with all our strength, corruption will crumble away to make way for integrity and sincere love. The observation made in this text is implacable: “There is none who does good”. Everyone goes their own way, heading towards evil but using corruption. This fight concerns every citizen who wants to live happy days. In other words, whoever wants to live happy days (sustainable development) must fight against the pandemic of corruption. It is an avant-garde and perpetual fight. It is a fight that requires determination and courage. Everyone must do their part. Corruption crushes sustainable development. Corruption can be spiritual, moral, financial, political… Mrs. Gro Harlem Brundtland, Norwegian Prime Minister in 1987 defined sustainable development as “development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs”. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
