Theme: "Fear the coming judgment"
Text: Matthew 10: 11-15
11. In whatever town or village you enter, find out if there is any man worthy of receiving you; and stay with him until you leave. 12. When entering the house, greet it; 13. and, if the house is worthy, your peace come upon it; but if she is not worthy of it, may your peace return to you. 14. When you will not be received and your words will not be listened to, go out of this house or town and shake the dust off your feet. 15. Truly I tell you, on the day of judgment the land of Sodom and Gomorrah will be treated less severely than that city.
Let us remember:
The hospitality shown to the servants of God in particular and to our neighbor generally draws the peace of God to us. We expose ourselves to harsh judgment any time we reject visitors. When we refuse to open the door of our heart to the Word of God, we are thereby rejecting the grace of God while drawing judgment against us. When we encourage our children, husbands, friends, families to persevere in sin, without helping them to know God, we are exposing them to the great judgment of God. We are responsible for our salvation or our loss. Jesus holds out the pole to us, let us accept to welcome God and his Word into our lives; let us accept his servants in our churches, our families. Do you want to know how God will treat you on the day of judgment? Watch how you treat others during the time of grace. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
