Theme : " Fear the coming judgment "
Text : Joel 1: 15-20
15. Ah! what day! For the day of the Lord is near; it comes as destruction from the Almighty. 16. Is not the food removed before our eyes? Have not joy and gladness disappeared from the house of our God? 17. The seeds have dried under the clods; The storehouses are empty, The storehouses are in ruins, For there is no corn. 18. How the beasts moan! The herds of herds are dismayed because they have no pasture; And even the flocks of sheep are suffering. 19. To you I cry, O Lord! For fire has devoured the plains of the wilderness, and the flame has burned up all the trees of the field. 20. The beasts of the field also cry to you; For the streams are dry, And fire has devoured the plains of the wilderness.
Let us remember:
It is the right time to be reconciled with God and even with our neighbor. It is time to repent and change our minds. There will be no more opportunities to change behavior because procrastination can become too late. The Lord God sounds the alarm and all nature complies but humans persist in their evil ways. While the waters, the plants, the clouds participate in the coming of Jesus; humans do not believe in this coming; they think it's just climate change. But God foretold these warning signs of his coming; no one is paying attention. Droughts on the one hand, floods on the other, heat waves should not leave us indifferent. Food is scarce in the world. So many plagues that the joy of living gives way to uncertainty. Let’s fear the coming judgment. Excellent Wednesday of repentance. Amen Alain Louz.-
