Theme: “Family and holistic development“
Text: Matthew 25:31-40
31. When the Son of Man comes in his glory, with all the angels, he will sit on the throne of his glory. 32. All nations will be assembled before him. He will separate one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33. And he will put the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on his left hand. 34. Then the king will say to those who are on his right hand: Come, you who are blessed of my Father; take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35. For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in; 36. I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me. 37. The righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or be thirsty, and have we given you something to drink? 38. When did we see you a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and have we clothed you? 39. When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you? 40. And the king shall answer them, Verily I say unto you, whenever ye have done these things to one of these least of my brethren, ye have done them unto me.
Let's remember:
Matthew 10:40, 42. “He who receives you receives me; and whoever receives me receives him who sent me... And whoever gives a cup of cold water to one of these little will not lose his reward. Any action taken should never be insignificant and without object because our King and Lord sees the significance of all this. On the road to Damascus, Saul was very surprised to hear that he was persecuting the Lord Jesus Christ: "Saul, Saul Why do you persecute me?" To get out of this kind of gear that winds us up constantly; we do not make any judgment on any entity of the human person. Let's take each person as a whole without fragmenting them. Since we are all members of the body of Christ, let us bring to our neighbor the benevolence, respect, consideration, love that are due to the Lord; because we need it too. God will judge the whole man and not the parts of each person. He will not judge our mentality versus our flesh or our faith versus our charisms… but the judgment will concern our whole being. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
