Theme: “Family and holistic development“
Text: Romans 8:19-23
19. Therefore the creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God. 20. For the creation was subjected to vanity, - not of its own free will, but because of him who subjected it, - 21. in the hope that it also will be set free from the bondage of corruption, to share in the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22. Now we know that to this day the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth. 23. And it's not just her; but we also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, we also groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
Let's remember:
Since the fall of Adam, the family as a whole was subject to vanity; she was subject to the bondage of sin. Darkness filled the world and no family could experience true holistic development as darkness filled the hearts and minds of the sons of man. It would have required the masterful intervention of the Son of God who came and installed a new era; an era of holistic development within the families of the earth. During his brilliant passage in this world in the human dispensation, he put the family in a favorable position, since whoever believed in Him would be saved with his family Acts 16:31. Therefore, families must hasten to the salvation that is in Jesus Christ. For those who await the revelation of the sons of God, it is time to appropriate this revelation which is in his Word. There will no longer be a new gospel to save the family. While waiting for the outcome of the childbirth process for which the family is currently feeling the pain, let us profess our faith with a strong desire to join the celestial city. Let us develop the family by leading it towards salutary aspirations in Jesus Christ which will come to finalize the process in progress as a midwife helps to end the pains of childbirth in the delivery room.
