Divisions: source of weakening

Friday July 9, 2021

Theme : " Divisions: source of weakening " Text : Titus 3: 1-3

1. Remind them to be submissive to magistrates and authorities, to obey, to be ready for any good work, 2. not to slander anyone, to be peaceful, moderate, full of gentleness towards all men . 3. For we also were once foolish, disobedient, gone astray, enslaved to every kind of lust and pleasure, living in wickedness and envy, worthy of being hated, and hating one another.

Let us remember :

Divisions sometimes arise from our lack of obedience to authorities and the laws they enforce. The rebellion in our hearts sets up a subversive climate to the point of challenging those who are established to bring order and discipline. We also sometimes want to restore order that has been disturbed by an authority; out of clumsiness or selflessly. God wants us to be careful not to create divisions, instead be obedient. Gossip and violence accentuate the divisions among us. We are belligerent and excessive when it is the opposite that God wants. Let us take away the disobedience and contempt that take us away from God. Let us no longer be foolish, lost, wicked, envious, hateful in short, no longer be carnal. Put on the Spirit of God and let the divisions disappear. Excellent Friday and good entry into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
