Communion is also the sharing of goods

Saturday March 25, 2023

Theme: “Communion is also the sharing of goods Text: Philippians 4:15-18

15. You yourselves know, Philippians, at the beginning of the preaching of the Gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into an account with me for what it gave and received; 16. You were the only ones to do so, for you already sent me to Thessalonica, and twice, enough to provide for my needs. 17. It's not that I'm looking for donations; but I seek the fruit which abounds for your account. 18. I have received everything, and I am in abundance; I have been filled with blessings, receiving from Epaphroditus what comes from you like a sweet-smelling perfume, a sacrifice which God accepts, and which is pleasing to him.

Let's remember:

Paul shared all his wealth wherever he went to teach the mystery of salvation and deliverance. He shared his best wealth, namely the knowledge of God. Sharing the gospel of salvation is working for the cause of Christ, it is the ultimate mission of every Christian. Such wealth must be shared with the spiritually needy. Also, in return, Paul received many gifts from the Philippians, the only ones to have understood the importance of liberality. The Philippians had taken the opportunity to sow their provisions in the field of God. They put Paul on a mission by taking charge of his stay. They did it more than once without complaining and without getting tired; without giving up. May God help us raise funds to support the work of God. Often we put our money into many vile and perilous activities. Instead of letting God's work perish, let's get our hands dirty and raise the level of evangelization by providing the necessary means. In the same vein, consider the servants of God; let's pay their bills, fill their fridges… Let's share our goods by supporting the work of God; this is also communion. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
