Theme: “Communion is also the sharing of goods“
Text: 2 Corinthians 8:13-14
13. For it is a question, not of exposing yourselves to distress to relieve others, but of following a rule of equality: in the present circumstance your superfluity will provide for their needs, 14. so that their superfluity will likewise provide for yours , so that there is equality,
Let's remember:
Today's message lets us know the golden mean of liberality. Indeed, we must not believe that sharing with others is to impoverish (oneself) in order to enrich others. The human gaze can lead us to such reasoning; but the one who is spiritual understands the significance of self-sacrifice. Besides, Jesus Christ made himself poor so that we might be rich. In addition, the physician Luke 6:38. tells us this “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure will be poured into your bosom, pressed down, shaken together and overflowing; for you will be measured with the measure you have used. Let us learn to supply our neighbor in the same way that we wish to be supplied. Those who have understood the common sense of the law of the "sprinkler sprinkled" never pass up an opportunity to seize the blessing. The clothes we no longer wear, let's share them instead of throwing them away, instead of piling them up in a corner of the house. The meals left in the fridges can be useful to other people. Before you start spending, let's think about the needy. Even a small gift at a low price can make our neighbor's day. Do not wait to be millionaires to practice liberality. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
