Combating injustices and discrimination caused to people living with disabilities

Sunday September 26, 2021

Theme : " Combating injustices and discrimination caused to people living with disabilities " Text : Deuteronomy 15: 6-10

6. As he hath said unto thee, Jehovah thy God will bless thee; thou shalt lend to many nations, and thou shalt not borrow; you will rule over many nations, and they will not rule over you. 7. If there be among thee any needy of thy brethren in any of thy gates, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut up your hand before your needy brother. 8. But thou shalt open thy hand unto him, and thou shalt lend him enough to meet his needs. 9. Be careful not to be mean enough to say in your heart: The seventh year, the year of spring break, is approaching! Beware of having a merciless eye for your needy brother and refusing him. He would cry out to the Lord against you, and you would take charge of sin. 10. Give him, and let not your heart give him with regret; for therefore the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all your undertakings.

Let us remember :

We are called to exercise charity towards the needy. When our neighbor expresses any lack, God recommends that we open our hands and hearts to him. Let us know that all indigence is a handicap because the handicap is still not physical; it can also be moral, mental, economic, social, visual, psychological, spiritual, sentimental in short, anything that can diminish us by showing our incapacity. When we do good heartily, let us be sure that God will bless us for it. Let's also learn to share without expecting anything in return. Let's donate instead of lend, or take part of it as a gift and part of it as a loan. Let us be able to open our heart and our hand to help our neighbor who is in need. Do not refuse help to the needy because they will cry out to God to show the pain that fills their hearts; the consequence will reach us. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
