Theme : " Combating injustices and discrimination caused to people living with disabilities "
Text : Proverbs 22: 22-23
22. Do not rob the poor, because he is poor, And do not oppress the poor at the door; 23. For the LORD will defend their cause, and will take the life of those who spoil them.
Let us remember :
Humanity discriminates against poor and unhappy by calling them less than nothing. Their material or financial handicap makes their case fragile. It is in this that they are treated as sub-humans. Let us understand that these same destitute described as unhappy or poor are children of God. As such, God will never forsake them in this life of injustice and discrimination. The Lord God will defend their cause. They will be restored to their rights so that they can enjoy divine justice. God will not leave those who oppress the unfortunate and the poor unpunished. Whatever the nature of their poverty, God will defend them with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. He will brandish the sword of justice and punish the perpetrators of these despicable acts. Let us side with God to defend the poor and unhappy against injustice and discrimination. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
