Theme : "Christ in us, the hope of glory"
Text : Colossians 1: 24-29
24. I now rejoice in my sufferings for you; and that which is lacking in the sufferings of Christ, I complete in my flesh, for his body, which is the Church. 25. It is from her that I was made minister, according to the office that God gave me with you, so that I may fully proclaim the word of God, 26. the mystery hidden at all times and in all ages, but now revealed to his saints, 27. to whom God willed to make known what is the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, namely: Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28. It is he whom we proclaim, exhorting every man, and instructing every man in all wisdom, that we may present to God every man who has become perfect in Christ. 29. This is what I work for, fighting with his strength, which acts powerfully in me.
Let us remember :
The suffering we endure for Christ as Christians; must be our joy; just as much as it brings joy to God, provided it is based on our belonging to Him. It should not relate to our sins, our pretensions, our muddles or our misconduct ... but to the work of Christ in us. When we suffer for the sake of belonging to Christ; there is a mystery hiding that the world does not understand. When Jesus was in pain, the world did not understand the why and the outcome. In the end, the devil is surprised at the salvation that the world has received through this Christ suffering. Likewise if we suffer for Him, it is wonderful because the same mystery will apply; his glory will shine in us: Christ in us is the hope of glory. Yes it is a grace to endure afflictions out of conscience towards God, when one suffers unjustly. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
