Monday, April 19, 2021 Theme: "Christ in us, the hope of glory" Text: Matthew 19:16-23 16. And behold, a man came up, and said to Jesus, "Master, what good do I have to do to have eternal life?" 17. He replied, "Why are you asking me what is good?" Only one is the right one. If you want to get into life, keep the commandments. which? he told her. 18. And Jesus answered: Ty will not kill; you will not commit adultery; You will not steal; you will not say false testimony; Honor your father and mother; 19. Honor your father and mother; and: you will love your neighbor as yourself. 20. The young man said to him, "I have observed all these things; What do I still miss? 21. Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, give it to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven." Then come, and follow me. 22. After hearing these words, the young man went away sadly; for he had great property. 23. Jesus said to his disciples: I tell you in truth, a rich man will hardly enter the kingdom of heaven. Retain : Ordinary mortals believe that all the goods of this world must be amassed in order to feel fulfilled, powerful, glorious and valiant. Glory according to man would consist of having great success and wealth. However, this is contrary to divine judgment. For Christ, the hope of glory is to possess Christ in oneself and for oneself. To possess Christ is to live far from the things that attract the human eye; Christ wants our existence to catch the eye of God. Man must strip himself of all his essential substance; he must empty himself of his personality in order to take on the personality of Christ Jesus. We know that Jesus' personality is characterized by his glory. It is at this moment that the glory of God contained in the personality of Christ within us can be distinguished by a simple glance. The divine glory resides in Christ, who resides in us. This glory lies not in wealth but in Christ. Let us seek Christ and his glory instead of yearning for riches and their glory. Excellent Monday. amen Alain Louz.-
