Theme: “Building Unity and Peace in the Church and Society”
Text: 1 Corinthians 1:10
10. I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Let us remember:
Being united does not bring us back to oneness to end up with monotonous voices. Being united would mean that we must have the same aspirations for peace and unity. Divergences must not destroy unity and peace. Being Christians does not mean having the same thoughts or the same modes of action; but we have the imperative duty to preserve the unity of mind and faith. We must perpetuate love within the Church. As long as love remains at the center of the Church, there will always be unity and peace. God has called us to the communion of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. It is in his name that we will build solid foundations of unity and peace. Certainly, there will be moments of contradictions and perhaps division; let us privilege the love of our neighbor. When discontent arises, let us have recourse to Jesus the prince of peace; He will strengthen us until we become irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know that the devil infiltrates everywhere where unity and peace reign, in order to sow discord and destroy the work of God. Let us bar the door to him with the greatest firmness. Let us all speak the same language, let us evacuate the divisions among us, let us be perfectly united in the same spirit and in the same sentiment. Excellent Wednesday. Amen
