Theme: “Building Unity and Peace in the Church and Society”
Text: 2 Corinthians 13:11
11. Finally, brothers, rejoice, be perfect, be comforted, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Let us remember:
To build unity and peace in the Church and society, we must prioritize mutual love and forgiveness. Our mission is to create a healthy climate, by eradicating quarrels and conflicts to make way for unity. Let us learn tolerance by accepting difference. Let us learn to listen to our neighbor to better understand their expectations; to avoid frustrations and murmurs. We must have recognition, gratitude towards all the people we meet. We must always ease tensions instead of stirring them up. Since respect is reciprocal, let us grant it to our neighbor, if we also expect it from him. Unity and peace are a whole life, the spirit of peace must characterize us first if we want to be peacemakers. It goes without saying that we cannot promote peace if we do not have inner peace in our own hearts. The first step is to be in harmony with ourselves; to be consistent with our own apprehensions. Let us be temperate and conciliatory. To live in unity and peace, we must settle each discord without bias. We must sweep away all violence (physical, mental, spiritual, psychological). Let us not force people to be like us because God alone knows what we are really worth. Let us submit to God the heart of our neighbor who does not like to live in unity and peace. Excellent Tuesday.
