Theme: “Being in Abundant Love” Text: Leviticus 19:17-18

17. Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou shalt take care to reprove thy neighbour, but thou shalt not burden yourself with sin on his account. 18. Thou shalt not take revenge, nor bear a grudge against the children of thy people. You will love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Eternal.

Let's remember:

To be in abundant love is to have a lively feeling that pushes you to love, to want good, to help by identifying yourself more or less with your neighbour. Abundant love is a feeling, not a sensation or an emotion. When love is abundant, it loses its limits and merges into continuous perpetuity. Love abounds when it is grounded in God and His Word. It is this love that does not look at the faults of others. It is this love that is pure and without spot or segregation. Such love cannot mix with hate, even for a few seconds. When love is abundant, one does not leave one's neighbor in error; but we take it back, we reframe it, we help it with respect and discretion without humiliating it but by valuing it. An abundant love is a love that protects its neighbor against all trouble and all danger. An abundant love is a protective love, a love that watches over the good balance of our neighbour. Revenge does not cross the mind of a person who is in abundant love. Even when we suffer serious and humiliating harm, we must guard against revenge. On the contrary, we must forgive and move forward without resentment or resentment. But all this can only succeed if we have a good relationship with God because love is from God; God is love.
