Theme : “ Being a role model for other children ”
Text : 1 Timothy 4:12-16
12. Let no one despise your youth; but be a model for the faithful, in word, in conduct, in charity, in faith, in purity. 13. Until I come apply yourself to reading, exhorting, teaching. 14. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of hands by the congregation of elders. 15. Attend to these things, give yourself entirely to them, so that your progress will be evident to all. 16. Watch over yourself and your teaching; persevere in these things, for by doing so you will save yourself, and you will save those who listen to you.
Let's remember:
This text is almost a roadmap for all Christians, big or small. It is almost the bedrock of the Christian life. It is (0) to receive, (1) to teach these things; (2) focus on education as public action; (3) be a role model. Let us not forget that this speech is that of a father, towards his spiritual son. In reality, the teachings are only given to fill brains to extinction. They serve to be relayed and practiced. This is the command that Christ gives in Matthew 28:20 to go and make disciples by teaching them. What must justify the good understanding of a teaching is its practice. Let's not make our brains cemeteries of teachings; a place where the teachings come to die. Each child of God must be a model of Christ, a little Christ (Christian). Never belittle yourself or allow yourself to be overwhelmed by age. Let humility not be equated with humiliation, much less with lack of self-esteem. Let us be humble and effective in teaching the faith. Never give up but be a real thermometer, a metronome that sets the tempo and sets the pace to follow. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
